Family Photoshoot...
Once upon a time we decided to do a family photoshoot...
I dont know who was worst, Parks not smiling or Ammo not staying!!
Most stubborn dog EVER!
Not impressed at all by the photoshoot, but he was very patient:)
We tried sooo hard to get Parks to smile, he usually smiles when he says, "chicken", but today he decided to sign it...ofcorse.
This is as good as it gets with our busy little family.

Not a Baby Anymore!
Parks is now 20 months old. He will be 2 in January! He talks so well, he'll pretty much repeat any word we say. Its pretty funny. We've made sure that he has mastered his please, thank you and sorry. Those are so important! He uses them really well. He is growing up so fast. You have to be a parent to understand that one. He no longer has a bottle (which i miss), deffinately no soothers (those were a headache trying to find) and now almost ready for no more diapers! (once he remembers to do ALL of #2 on the potty:))hehe Parks is our little angel. Dont get me wrong he knows what a timeout is...it's the longest minute of his life:) But luckily he hasn't reached the tantrum stage. He loves being outside, exploring, bike rides and swimming are the top 3. He still sleeps all night:) I can remember when he was 6 months old and i was crying outside his bedroom door, listening to him cry himself to sleep...it was the best thing i could have done for him and me. All thanks to Matt holding me back ofcorse. Now as long as he has 2 blankets, his 2 toy construction 'boys' and a pillow he goes to sleep without even making a fuss:)and always has. I know, i'm bragging but i'm just so happy with our little guy. These days he is daddy's little buddy. Matt has turned him into a brave little boy. His favorite thing to say is 'be tough' and shows his muscles. When Matt leaves for work it is not a happy time, but he'll say 'daddy firetruck' afterwards and somehow that makes it ok:)

Summer Fun
It has been an amazing summer, i am so grateful and blessed to be able to of spent most of it at cabin's/cottages. We had an awesome Hill Family Reunion week at Tie Lake! Lots of laughs, watersports, games, great food and entertainment.

Matt is officially a firefighter now!!! He passed all his exams in Training and now works at Sation 34! In his first year he will bounce around 3 different stations before they pick a more perminant one (Hopefully it will be close to home). I am so proud of my husband. He has worked so hard to get where he is right now. He absolutely loves his job. That alone makes it worth the move out here.

My trip back home to Ottawa was fantastic! It was so nice to see Parks so happy to see his Nana and Papa. It was like we never left. We spent most of our days at the cottage. Enjoying eachothers company. I have such a wonderful family.

*For weeks and weeks i have been trying to post more pics under this post, but for some reason blogger wont allow it, so i've decided to post it as is. Jeff and Robyn I love you both so much. I miss you more than you know. Parks had an awesome time with you both during that week at the cottage. He can now say 'Jeffie' really clear and 'Robyn' even clearer:) He loves you guys so much and we look forward to our next visit!
Mom and Dad, words are getting harder and harder to say... We love you so much and are talking about you everyday. Parks misses you as do Matt and I, so much!. Friday nights just aren't the same. We will keep posting pics as much as possible. Thank you again for an amazing trip home.

Fun Filled July!
On July 1st my mom arrived, I had not seen her in 2 months! (and yes that is the longest we have ever been apart). We had a great visit! She stayed for 2 1/2 weeks, Parks was soooo happy to have his Nana. My mom is an amazing woman. She is the most giving person I have ever met and she never expects anything in return. I have so much respect for her. I love you mom. xo cant wait to see you, dad, Jeff and Robyn at the cottage in 3 more weeks!!

This was a very important day for Matt. It is week 9 in his FireFighting Training and he gets to Graduate!!! All his hard work paid off, I was the happiest wife there I think...my face hurt from smiling so much:) All the guys marched into the ceremony together and looked so professional. 32 of Matt's family members came to help support him, it was wonderful to have them all there. Thank you to all who came! Matt still has 2 weeks left of Training before he gets to go to a Station, its kinda weird how they did the Graduation beforehand, but nevertheless he is still studying hard for 2 more weeks of inclass CPR stuff. I know he will do great! I cant wait to have my husband back (so to speak) he has had to focus so hard on this Training. It'll be so nice once he is in the Station. For those wondering his schedule is actually really great. He'll work 2day shifts than 2night shifts and than off for 4 days!
