The Happenin' Hills: Home for 2 weeks...

We packed up and flew to Ottawa for Matt's 2 weeks off. It was such an awesome trip. We were busy! My parents were on holidays as well for the entire time we were there and my brother was able to take a week off too. We had Tessa at my parents place quite a bit too, the kids had so much fun together! We started the trip off with Grace's 1st birthday:) We went to a fun gymnastics place with the kids, Mom brought me out for sushi:) that always makes me soooo happy! *I got yet another UTI, I'm messed up I know, but luckily my old Doctor put me on medication:) Matt and I went out to the movies, I cant even remember the last time that I went to the theatre..sad. Got home to sleeping kids:) It was a very nice treat to not have to put them to bed. Matt played in an Ultimate game with Jeff...mom and I went shopping...lots:) We visited the experimental farms for the first time and got to pet adorable little calves. We went out to Jeff and Robyn's new house and played outside a ton! We all went to an IMAX movie called Born to be Wild...Parks' first time in a theatre (and Grace) It was a documentary about elephants and orphaned orangutans that these amazing people rescue and raise than release back into the wild when they are ready. We all loved it...well Grace got bored...but because it was 3D Parks kept asking if we were in the movie:) hehe
The best day ever was when we all went to Calypso water park, it is the largest water park in Canada! So much fun!! We had to pace ourselves because of the kids, but we spent the whole day and did all the rides:) Matt and I were lucky enough to go back a second time with just friends and NO kids. We went with 2 other couples and it was a blast!! The water park wasn't busy at all again (because its not summer yet and kids are still in school) so we lucked out with not having to wait in any lines...it was one ride after the other...and we calculated climbing a good 3000 steps from being there the whole day! What a workout:) We went to the Papanak Zoo (which I don't recommend...its pretty rundown), Britannia Beach for a picnic and met up with some friends...the weather was humid and hot pretty much the whole time we were there, it was a nice change from all the rain back home. We celebrated my Dad's bday at the Keg:) Had a nice girls night with the ladies, Matt played in a touch football game with the boys:) We had dinner with Matt's old boss' at their house and had a really nice time with them. In between all that we ate delicious food, watched t.v/rented movies at night and chilled with my parents all the time! Unfortunately I hardly worked out:( Matt and I went running twice, but than found out that there was a black bear with two cubs on the loose...and was spotted by my parents neighbours on their lawns...so that is my good excuse for being lazy for the rest of the vacation:)
I love you so much Mom and Dad, Jeff and Robyn and Tessa! We miss hanging out with you. Thanks for the good time! I tried really hard to narrow down the pictures, but there are just too many good ones:
