The Happenin' Hills: July is HERE!

We spent Canada Day in Raymond with Matt's oldest brother and family...unfortunately Matt got off work late Friday morning so we missed the parade:( BUT Parks' nice cousins shared their candy with him, so he couldn't of cared less. We spent a few hours and than continued our trip to B.C...we were excited to get up to the lake:) It was mostly just us and Mark...which I was happy about because the Lake was INSANELY busy and I hate driving the boat alone with 2 kids for Matt when its like that! so thank you Mark! Plus Mark is always good company:) The weather was amazing...Parks went wakeboarding with Matt twice, but his real big accomplishment was playing in the water (in a floaty boat) all by himself!! He usually is really scared of being in the water especially alone. so yeah! woohoo! Another cool thing that happened...Parks is always asking to go fishing, so Matt took him out in the canoe...while they were out there a Bald Eagle flies overhead and lands in a nearby tree! Matt gets this brilliant idea to catch a fish for the Eagle...it totally worked! Two times in a row this huge Eagle comes barreling down to scoop up this dead fish that wasn't even 10 feet away from their canoe! Matt got it on video...we just need to figure out how to post it on here...besides that the only other random thing was Ammo getting sprayed by baby skunks...I'm glad he didn't get the full blow but he does still stink! *pics kinda suck...i need to stop using my ipod, but its just so convenient!

Grace was the only one with Canada Day clothes...it was IMPOSSIBLE to find Canada Day shirts this year...mind you i only ever shop at Walmart, Dollarama and Costco...but still!!

Since I'm late posting this blog...this was 2 weekends ago and now Parks doesn't even need to hang on to the rope...he kicks his legs and goes anywhere he wants!
